This week, our country endured another mass shooting that took the lives of ten people in Colorado. We can’t let this tragic loss of life continue and allow Senate Republicans to cower to the gun lobby. People need more than just our thoughts and prayers in this moment — they need meaningful gun reform legislation implemented. In the House, we recently passed legislation to require universal background checks on all gun sales. It’s imperative we get this bill passed in the Senate and signed into law. I promise I won’t stop fighting until we end gun violence once and for all.
Reducing Child Poverty in Minnesota

Creating an Environment Where All Girls Can Thrive
For far too long, Black girls and women have been penalized for simply existing as themselves. This week, I introduced two bills to end hair discrimination and create an environment where all girls can thrive. You can read more about the Crown Act here and the Pushout Act here.
Holding Saudi Arabia Accountable
