January 2022: Cancel Student Debt

Working to Cancel Student Debt

In less than 100 days, student loan payments will resume. The pause on student loan payments has allowed millions of borrowers to start a business, participate in our economy, and save for the future. This week, I partnered with a few of my colleagues to call on President Biden to not just extend the pause, but use his authority to cancel at least $50,000 of student loan debt per borrower. Protecting Our Beautiful Boundary Waters

The Biden Administration just announced the cancellation of two mineral leases for the proposed Twin Metals copper-nickel mine in northern Minnesota. This is a huge victory for our beautiful Boundary Waters. It wouldn’t have been possible without the advocates and organizers on the ground who made this win possible.
